Have you checked the new Twitter landing page? They has given its homepage an extreme makeover and I like the new design. New additions include a search bar, a list of trending topics divided by the minute, day, and week, and the tagline, "share and discover what's happening right now, anywhere in the world." The new search tool allows users to browse Twitter updates from around the world without actually logging onto the site. I wonder what's next? Do you think Twitter will replace Google as a search engine?

Bill Gates quit Facebook this week. He said he's been just deluged by invites and messages and can't spend the time to figure out if these are people he even knows. Starbucks Gives Away Free Ice Cream Via Facebook

This is another great news about Twitter and I really want to say that it really is an incredibly useful marketing tool for businesses and brands, both big and small, to disseminate information and engage with consumers on a massive scale. Recently,Tweetsgiving, another Twitter-based charitable initiative raised over $10,000 in just 48 hours in November of 2008 to fund a new classroom for a school in Tanzania.
