Misspelled Domain Names

by : June Wilson

When it comes to search engine keywords, there are some that are potential gold mines that are being ignored. These are ones in which a word or phrase is accidentally misspelled. Usually, the search engine will link to results that contain the correct spelling, but it will still show any websites associated with the misspelled keyword. If one of these websites catches the eye of a surfer, they may visit it. This is why many webmasters will not only create websites around misspelled keywords but also pay money to bid on them in pay-per-click search engine advertisements.

But misspelled keywords can help in another venue of Internet marketing... one's domain name. When a popular misspelled keyword is included in a domain name, the search engine bots will be more likely to notice the website. Granted, it won't get listed with the properly spelled keyword, but even traffic from a misspelled keyword is better than nothing. A person will just have to decide whether they want their website to be branded with a domain name that has an improper spelling.

So, how exactly can a webmaster make such a determination when they are deciding on their domain name? Well, first they need to look at what their website is for. If they are just doing affiliate marketing or Adsense promotion, it doesn't matter as much if their domain name is branded properly. This is because they are not promoting their own business. However, if they are using a website to promote a company, they will want to try to keep their domain name as professional as possible.

Secondly, a webmaster needs to see if there is profitability in a misspelled keyword. Even though a misspelled domain isn't as harmful to a webmaster promoting affiliate sites, they don't necessarily want to make it a first option, especially if the misspelled keyword in the domain name doesn't get much traffic. To determine a misspelled keyword's profitability, a person can look it up in a keyword analyzer. In fact, some paid keyword analyzers, (such as Word Tracker), even have features where a person can see which specific types of misspelled keywords are worth taking advantage of.

If a misspelled keyword fits both of these criteria, a webmaster may want to consider putting it in their domain name. From there they will need to decide if they want that keyword to be included in the content. If it is then there's an even greater likelihood search engine bots will index the website according to the misspelled keyword. However, if it's not there's still a chance that the website could be indexed according to the correct keyword, though if this ranking is low, it may not be a preferable option.

The webmaster will ultimately have to decide whether their content still looks 'professional' with the misspelled keyword. Some words, (such as mesothelioma), are so hard to spell, that a person may not even notice improper versions of it. If this happens they won't have any issues seeing it so many times in the content, since they didn't really know how to spell it right themselves.

In conclusion, including a misspelled keyword in one's domain name could be an excellent way to covertly get website traffic, at least if a webmaster knows what he or she is doing. If they don't a misspelled domain name could cause a person to think negatively about a website.

For this reason webmasters must take caution in which misspelled keywords they choose for their domain names along with whether or not they continue to use it in their content.

You Can Browse Google In Real-Time And See Anyone's Adwords Keywords!

Internet Marketing guru, Brad Callen, just told me about a free keyword tool that they recently created. The tool allows you to see what any Adwords advertiser is currently bidding on via Google Adwords! And what's even cooler about it is how it works. All you have to do is browse Google, and the software will automatically place a "view keywords" button below any Adwords advertiser's listing. It does a whole lot more, but I'll let you play with it yourself. I've never seen anything anywhere near this powerful, especially being free. Here's the link where you can download it for free : Adwords Keyword Tool. Enjoy!

EntreCard - Share your Thoughts

Have you heard about Entrecard? What is it anyway? EntreCard is a free advertisement exchange network which let you exchange advertisement of your blog with the advertisement of some other blog. Basically you get points when you leave your card at a blog and you also get points when you display the other peoples cards on your blog. I think it is a great way to meet new people and discover blogs. If you want to know any further feel free reading the Entrecard Official Ebook.

So for EntreCard user out there, what do you think about this system? Is worth it or not. To me it is yes and no. The whole point to EntreCard is to get traffic. I do admit that the system really send me some traffic and almost all of my visitors dropped a card, but I received zero new RSS subscribers and less new comments from the visitors. It seems like more EntreCard users are in it to simply drop and run without actually looking at content or subscribing. In my opinion, a good blog visitors are someone who leave you a comment. Any comment, good or bad, is essentially good. Anyway, from my experience with EntreCard, it is worth using it. I love the system but something leak must be fixed. No one perfect in this beautiful world right?? :) If you not the EntreCard user yet, feel free to try it. Never hesitate to share your experience and
feedback about Entrecard by simply posting a comment.

Don't Underestimate The Power Of Social Media

Social media is exploding. Everyone’s talking about the huge advertising potential.Social Media is not only changing the landscape of the Internet, it's changing the way we all do business. There isn't a day that goes by (it seems) that someone hasn't created a new Twitter application to use the massive database that is now Twitter. Companies are using Facebook to help them "get to know" prospective employees as they review their resumes. Companies of all sizes are using blogs and micro blogging tools to keep in touch with their customer base. There's no doubt about it, love it or hate it, social media is here to stay. Incorporate it into your Internet marketing campaign, it's worth it.

More than ever, Internet-users find it convenient and amusing to maintain social networks and professional relationships through sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and FriendFeed. If your online business does not have an account with all, if not one, of these sites, then now is the time to make one. It's a great way to establish new connections and provide links to your site to help reach your target audience and increase sales.

Avoid Insurance Scam!

By: Alex Rodriquez

Insurance is big business. There is a lot of money in the insurance industry and, like any other industry that is worth a lot of money to a lot of people, there are always people out there who will try to take your money and not give you anything in return.

Insurance fraud is a big deal, the costs of fraudulent claims are enormous, the ABI recently suggested that insurance companies deal with £5m of fraudulent claims every week just in regards to vehicle insurance. There are many stories of people being defrauded of thousands of pounds, buying policies that don’t cover what they believe that it should, or worse - finding themselves owing massive sums of money after a disaster that their policy should have covered but in fact did not.

So how do you make sure that you avoid falling for an insurance scam? A lot of the protection is in your own head, you have to make sure that you are suspicious and knowledgeable about what you want and what it is that you are buying. Fraud is very damaging to insurance companies, no one is going to take it unkindly if you are a hard sell, in fact, many companies will probably appreciate that approach.

So when it comes to buying a policy make sure you don’t pay for anything until after all the insurance documents are filled out and that you fully understand exactly what coverage is included, and what the cost for the coverage is. Don’t let your agent get away without explaining every single little detail to you and if you’re unclear keep asking until you have got it straight.

If the agent or the company rep is unhelpful or evasive when it comes to answering your questions then you should be immediately suspicious. These people are paid to have all the information that you might require, if they get difficult with you remember that it’s your money and your policy. If anyone ever tries to sell you coverage in a short period and is unwilling to give you space to consider or to talk to other people then you should stop everything immediately.

Absolutely never sign a blank insurance form or any blank papers, and likewise never give the agent or agency power of attorney to sign an insurance application or buy coverage for you. Whilst this could make things more awkward for you and take more time, it’s incredibly important that you are the only one who signs anything and that you have all the information in front of you at the time that you do sign.

Insurance is an important item and a good policy can be expensive. When it comes to purchasing insurance make sure that you are getting what you pay for, do your research and keep your wits about you.
